Deathtale - Whole World Burns
Label : Terrasound Records | Archive under speed / thrash metal
Release type: Full-length CD

Koen B. : ‘Whole World Burns’ is Deathtale’s second full-length effort after 2012’s ‘Apocalyptic Deathline’, but I think this Austrian band is pretty unknown over here so let me introduce them to you. Deathtale was formed in 2009 in Vienna and consists of Philipp Späth (bass), Tom Kräutner (drums), Alex Reich and Arian Rezaie (guitars) and Alex Ondrovics (vocals). The band is signed with Terrasound Records. Check their webstore here. ‘Whole World Burns’ is jam-packed with thrash metal that is good but doesn’t reach the ranks of being unquestionably great and Deathtale won’t be becoming world famous. Therefore the music lacks or doesn’t match the quality of albums such as ‘Reign In Blood’ or ‘Pleasure To Kill’. This however is a nice and good effort of a band that dares to defy the inelastic conventions of the thrash metal genre. If you dare to be a bit different, do check out Deathtale. They are an interesting bunch.
